What is an ISP proxy?

An ISP proxy is a static IP address hosted in a data centre but registered to a consumer internet provider, so it looks residential and does not rotate.

Also called static residential proxy.

It sits between residential and datacenter. The server lives in a rack and has datacenter speed, while an ASN lookup names a home broadband company. The address does not rotate, so a site sees the same visitor every time.

That makes ISP the usual pick for anything with a login or a cart, where a changing IP triggers a security check or ends the session.

It is not a perfect disguise. A determined anti-bot vendor can still tell a static hosted address from a home line by signals other than the ASN.

For example

A bot logs into your own account on a ticketing site every morning to check for returns. Each login from a new residential IP triggers an email code. One ISP address keeps the login looking like the same person at home.
