The Discord

Support, status and free bananas.

4,200+ monkeys in the Discord. It is where support happens, where incidents get posted, and where you can watch how we treat people before you give us any money.

Free to lurk. Free to ask.

No account, no purchase, no verification hoop. Read the help channel for ten minutes and decide for yourself.

What is in there

Six channels, no bureaucracy.

#help

Paste your error, get an answer. Staff and users both. Usually minutes, occasionally hours, never four days.

#status

A bot posts pool health, incidents and maintenance automatically. It posts the bad days too, which is the point of having it.

#showcase

What people are building. Half of it is genuinely clever, the other half is a bot that buys concert tickets.

#deals

Bonus GB drops, early access to new pools, and giveaways. Occasionally we just top up someone who wrote a good bug report.

#targets

Which product works on which site. Ask before you buy — someone has usually already fought the thing you are looking at.

#off-topic

Monkey pictures, mostly. We are not going to pretend otherwise.

Four rules

Short, and actually enforced.

  • Ask the question. Do not ask to ask, and do not DM staff instead of posting.
  • No credential stuffing, no CSAM, no harassment targets, no fraud. Talking about it gets you removed too.
  • Do not advertise other providers. Comparing them is fine and encouraged.
  • Be readable. Paste code in a code block, include the error, say what you already tried.

The abuse rule is the one we are least flexible about. See the acceptable use policy for what that means in practice.

About the community

Do I have to be a customer to join?

No. Lurking is free and quite a lot of the channel has never bought anything. If you are trying to work out whether we are worth $5, reading how we handle other people is a reasonable way to decide.

Is Discord the only support channel?

No. [email protected] reaches us and gets answered. Discord is just faster, and it has the side effect of letting you see the answers we gave other people.

Why run support in public at all?

Because it is the strongest honesty signal we have. A private ticket queue lets a provider be pleasant to you and useless to everyone else. In a public room, our worst support interaction is visible to every prospective customer.

That is uncomfortable in exactly the way it should be.

What does the status bot actually post?

Pool availability by product and region, incident start and resolution, and planned maintenance. It posts automatically, so it is not filtered through anyone deciding whether the news is convenient.
