Switching proxy providers? Test us before you move
Signs you are being overbilled
One of these on its own can have a boring explanation, so ask the provider about it before you leave.
The bill is bigger than your own byte count
Count what your client sent and received, then compare. A little over is TLS and connection setup. A lot over means something you never asked for is being counted.
There is no per-request breakdown
A daily total cannot be checked against anything. If the provider cannot give you a number for a specific window, you have learned something already.
Failed connections and their retries are billed
A connection that dies before carrying data moved nothing. Retries the provider makes on your behalf, without telling you, multiply the worst part of your job.
Usage is rounded up per request
Round every small API call up to a whole kilobyte and a million of them bill as far more than they weighed. Rounding belongs once, at the bottom of the invoice.
"Residential" IPs whois to a hosting company
Look up the ASN of an IP you were given. If it belongs to a cloud or VPS company, it is a datacenter address, whatever the label on the order said.
The refund dies on the first byte
A policy that voids the whole balance because you used a few MB testing is a policy written never to pay out.

If it does not work out
Ask within 7 days of a top-up and we refund the unused portion of that top-up, by the method you paid with. You do not need to give a reason, and using some of it does not void the rest. One message in Discord or an email is enough.
Card refunds are issued within 3 business days. Crypto goes back to the sending address, or another one you name, within 3 business days. Separately from the 7-day window, if our meter counted more than you moved beyond what protocol overhead explains, we refund the difference however long ago it was.
