Why check Canada separately from the US?

Prices are in CAD, many retailers run a separate .ca store with a different catalogue, and some US services do not serve Canada at all. You only see those differences from a Canadian address.

Can I get the French-language version of Canadian sites?

Language is usually a site setting or your Accept-Language header. A Canadian IP plus fr-CA gets you the Canadian French pages on the sites that have them.
