What is an IP pool?

An IP pool is the set of IP addresses a proxy service can route your traffic through.

IP pool explained

A rotating service draws from its pool for each connection, so the size and spread of the pool decide how often you land on an address the target has already seen. A static service sells you specific addresses out of its pool.

A headline pool size tells you less than it seems. What counts is how many of those IPs are online when you connect, in the region you need, and how many other customers are pointing them at the same targets. Measure on your own targets before trusting anyone's number.

For example

Send a hundred requests through a rotating gateway to an IP echo service and count the distinct addresses that come back. That is your pool as your job sees it.
